I am very happy to announce that Brent Easton (President of Bushido Judo Club NSW) has joined the Event Manager development team. Brent has many years of experience programming in Java and will be a great asset to the team. I hope that this will bring a fresh injection of ideas and features to the software and also help reduce the cost of future development.

Event Manager 2012 Update 2 released
Update 2 includes three significant improvements to the Event Manager.
1. Sessions can now be deleted and fights reassigned to another mat. The fight order screen now supports unlocking to allow fights to be reordered.
2. The random draw now has three settings for the placement of byes. Completely random (JFA default), Balanced (byes appear equally in each pool), and Seeded (where seeded players get given a bye in the first round).
3. We have added support for Mons Pin events. We have done this by reducing the hold down times for fights that are set to be less than 90 seconds. We have also allowed the colours of the players to be swapped to allow young players to come to the mat in either blue or white Judogi. This can be done through Options – Choose Colours on scoreboard screen.
We have also improved the scaling of the scoreboard to improve the look on widescreens.
